Subject: [Tango-L] Denver Festival
Just returned from the Denver Festival. It was excellent! It seems to get
better in one way or another every time. It was great to see so many from
Southern California there, as well as from so many other areas. Everyone I
met or talked with seemed to be glowing with enjoyment and enthusiasm for
the event, the classes, and the dances they were getting.
Just as I'm sure there are great festivals for nuevo style or ones that have
great demos by traveling performers, the Denver festival is oriented towards
close embrace, social dancing with the music being king. The Denver and
Colorado tango communities set the standard for hospitality and
friendliness. Tom Stermitz and his team have worked hard to bring these
events to this point, and I want to thank all of them.
Jim
