[Tango-L] Now that I?m here in BsAs

I talked to a gentleman last night who said that while he was in BsAs
recently (for the second time) that he couldn't get the followers to follow.
He would lead a step and they would just kind of go off on their own. Have
others had this problem with Argentine followers? (Being a woman, I only
lead them in lessons and practicas.)

He did say that he couldn't get the better dancers to dance with him.  He
does not look at all like an Argentine, which may be why. He is a fine
dancer with a very nice embrace.

Hello, Tom, Caroline and everyone,

I think that there may need to be a clarification.  It is not that 
foreigners focus on steps and dance them at the milongas of BsAs, but 
that it is foreign men that tend to do so.  I have not heard from 
men, Argentine or not, that foreign women insist on dancing stage 
tango at the milongas against their partners social dance 
intentions.  Has anyone?
