There are some women (a few, who seem to always dance with other women at the milongas. They dance with women almost exclusively... I've danced with them before and IMHO, they are not the paragon of follower skill and grace. These are only a couple of cases and obviously do not represent the skill and grace of every woman who dances or has danced the man's part but at least in their case this practice has not helped them in that respect. Also, I've spoken with other women who don't like it either and will not dance with these women. They say things along the lines of not liking to be in another woman's arms in these settings, it creeps them out..... Frankly, it's none of my business who dances with whom and I would not interfere with their choices. However, as a man I don't like to see this custom. For some reason the women who dance the woman's part with these women dancing the man's part seem to send the message that they prefer dancing with the women "leaders" so I don't  dance with them. It's just that I don't get any vives that would indicate that these women are interested in dancing with men like me.
I'm not talking about the occasional dance of 2 women or even 2 guys. I totally understand and even approve of these things. I just don't like to see these women dancing the man's part all night long in the milongas. It's just my personal opinion.
