Ok, here I come! Time for me to get into the fray...

  >:-)))))

Derik, I think you're either a very smart or a very stupid bloke.

You may well be as daft as you sound. After all, even Freud said the "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". If the latter is the case, then we should make allowances for you and treat you in a humane way by kicking you off the List. Thing is that you've insulted a lot of people who dance for the love of dancing. The impression I have of you is that you're the type who sits at the side of the dance floor criticising all the dancers under your breath.

On the other hand, perhaps you are simply winding people up just to get some sort of response...? If so, in a way I kind of like this. This is often my style too.

However, unlike you, I don't act as though stupidity were some sort of virtue. The belching platitudes you spout forth are just tooo silly, unnecessary and indeed hurtful to those on the receiving end.

Ever heard of the saying "Live and let live"...? or
"Treat others as you would have them treat you"...? or
(John Wayne in 'The Shootist') "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them"...?

The way YOU express your opinions is completely pro-active in attacking those who simply do what they do, harmlessly and with all good intentions. As Peter Lorre said in 'Congo Crossing' (1956): "An expression is always an expression until it talks too much". You, my dear fellow, Derik... talk tooooooo much. Put a sock in it.

Hey, and I told you before (this goes for you too Chris) leave Tine alone. She's great! As far as Figgy's concerned :-))) you say he didn't like the Sophia Loren lookalike??? Hmmmm... if true, I'm starting to worry about ol' Figs >:-))) Come on Figs, defend yourself like a man! >:-)))

Talking about Chris... well Chris, seems like you've been sucked in by Rasputin's (Derik's) verbal hypnotism. You can't seriously defend his rantings... can you???

Hey, anyone got the Italian girl's 'phone number? >:-)))))

  Dani

  Dear Chris UK:

Thanks for posting this message. It is very
interesting and revealing.

What is it about the mentality of these "close embrace
all the time" people? If you happen to disagree with
them they threaten you...lol.

Last week I was at a milonga and someone went out of
their way to pour ice water into my chair, in the
hopes that I would be bothered by it. I just kept on
dancing...lol. Kind of childish, I would say.

Oh, by the way, I just figured it out...

The tall "leggy girl with the big boobs" that Michael
Figart saw me dancing with at a milonga and did not
like, is from Rome, Italy. She is currently doing her
MBA in Business Administration in a graduate student
honors program at the University of Houston and Rice
University. She was wearing the latest Italian
fashions at the milonga, because she just came back
from Rome. She looks exactly like Sophia Loren, except
with blue eyes..lol. She is twenty something, and has
already traveled the world. She speaks Italian,
French, German and English, and is a gourmet cook. She
is extremely intelligent and fun. No wonder MF did
not like her...lol.

PS- We all know that Italians have absolutely no hope
of ever learning how to dance Argentine tango..lol. I
am sure that Astor Piazzolla would comment on that if
he were still here.

Have a good day in the UK.

Derik
