[Tango-L] the kamasutra? I don't think so.

Well, no, Melanie. Alberto indeed has been quite nice on the list so far,
and when you posted that Kamasutra translation, I first thought, this was
have been sent by some A.G. impostor. Ok, so Alberto has bought the
Kamasutra indeed.
I know, that he has at times posted his translations of poems that
fascinated him to the list, even if they were not all about tango.
The kamasutra chapter did indeed sound a bit odd. I have read the Kamasutra
myself, not in Hindi, but in German and in English translation, and I
remember nothing like that in there. So this may indeed have been a
translation problem. A "piercing embrace" does sound rather farfetched to
me,  if not to say yucky. And if you consider that the Kamasutra was written
over thousand years ago, and not in the 50ies era of pointy bras, there must
definitely be something wrong with that term.
I remember once being taught to lead a little in a practica, and when I
danced with the Turkish girl, I did not feel pierced but much rather,
cushioned and smothered, and I told her:"It is not easy to dance with
another woman. Your tits are in the way."
