For a wedding, "Victoria", jolly as it is, is not appropriate.
That's a "Thank goodness I left her" song.
For jolly, how about:
"Tengo mil Novias" =
"I have a thousand girlfriends (but he's imagining it all)"
sweet and silly
"Cara Sucia" =
"Dirty Face" - mentions washing her face in the fountain of his
kisses.
"Organito de la Tarde" is in instrumental with a delicate quality
that might suit a wedding dance.
> thank you for discussion so far. happy and romantic,
> not humorous! ^^^^^ ^^^ ^^^^^^^^
Isn't that a contradiction?
YMMV.
How about
"Prisionero", Tanturi-Campos. The singer tells his friends he can't
go out partying, he's a prisoner of his son, a little baby with
sky-blue eyes.
"Aunque Me Llame Papá", sung by Enrique Campos, this one's a bit
hard to find. The lyrics say "Although he calls me Father", his son
is his best friend.
Its starts out:
Life has given me everything
I couldn't ask for more
I know well what I'm telling you.
Because now I have a friend,
Like which, there is no other.
The melodies may or may not be upbeat; I find it difficult to
seperate the tone of the melody from the tenor of the lyrics.
:-)

In their feud [Stalin and Trotsky] both were right. Stalin was right in
maintaining that his regime was the embodiment of socialist principles.
Trotsky was right in asserting that Stalin's regime had made Russia a hell.
