[Tang-Residents] Email Notification: Tang Hall A/C Installation Project

Dear Tang Hall Residents,


With summer upon us, we write to share details regarding building maintenance and renovation projects that will take place prior to the upcoming fall term. We undertake these types of projects each summer to improve the on-campus living and learning environment, and to ensure that our residence halls are operating at their best to support residents.


The Construction & Renovation team within Housing & Residential Services are planning the following project in Tang Hall:


  *   Tang Hall – A/C Installation

     *   Anticipated Start Date: Thursday, July 20, 2023

     *   Anticipated Duration: Friday, August 18, 2023

     *   Brief Description: Work will take place inside the HoH apartment and 24th floor lounge, installing a ductless air conditioning system. Work times are from 8 am to 3 pm. There may be some noise to residents on the 23rd floor and 24th floor lounge.

     *   Anticipated Impacts: We anticipate impacts will affect the Head of House mainly, with some noise affecting the rest of the building. Any loud noises will be after 10 am. The 24th floor lounge will be closed for the duration of the project.

While smaller projects such as annual cleaning may also be taking place within the building, the projects described above are the most significant activities that are currently scheduled.
