Hi Tang Residents,
For those of you who recently moved in, welcome to Tang! My name is Matthew, and I am the Recycling chair in the Tang Hall Residents Association.
To keep Tang clean and minimize waste, I’d like to make sure we’re all familiar with where to dispose of waste properly (see the attached flyer for more details):
* Trash is to be dropped into the trash chutes located by apartments “E” and “F” on each floor.
* Single-stream recycling (clean paper and cardboard, clean plastic except bags and utensils, clean aluminum foil/cans/trays) goes in the bins to your left as you walk out the rear exit.
* Specialty recycling (fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, plastic bags, and small electronics) go in the designated bins in the front lobby.
* Compost (food waste inside compostable bags only) goes in the bin to your right as you walk out the rear exit.
Additionally, there are blue single-stream recycling bins located on the first floor and trash and recycling bins in the 24th floor lounge.
Please do not place waste anywhere else, such as in the rear lobby. (The only exception is when Tang is running a Trash2Treasure donation collection program, which is not currently happening.) Waste placed anywhere else must be picked up inconveniently by me or one of the Tang managers.
Thank you for helping to keep Tang clean and minimize waste!
All the best,
Matthew
