Dear Resident,

Starting on Tuesday February 9th, electricians will be conducting an inspection in your apartment to ensure electrical outlets in all bedrooms, kitchens, and common areas  are safe and secure. Work hours will be 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, and they will start on the 24th  floor working down to the 2nd floor.

I anticipate this should take 3 days to complete, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, about 8 floors per day. I will provide an update on where they finished and the next day schedule.

This work is part of a campus-wide safety review and will take place in all residential buildings across campus.  The inspection should only take a brief moment and Residential Life & Dining will provide staff to accompany workers through apartments. Please note that you do not need to be present during this inspection.

Please help us prepare for these inspections by moving any large items that may be blocking electrical outlets in your room and apartment . We will need to see each outlet to test and make sure covers are properly installed.
