[Tang-Residents] Fwd: Alarm testing notice

Dear Tang Hall Residents,

As part of the 24th floor renovation project, MIT Fire Protection is required to conduct a brief, live audible test of the Tang Hall fire system on Friday, July 24, from 1:00 pm to 1:15 pm.

This test is necessary to ensure that the new fire alarm on the 24th floor  is responding to the alarm system properly, and is required by the City of Cambridge.  Although you will be able to hear the alarm, you will not need to evacuate the building during this 15-minute test.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. These tests are required anytime modifications to the alarm system are implemented.
