[Tang-Residents] Abandoned Bikes to be removed

Importance: High

Hello,

It's that time again when Tang and Westgate piggy backs off MIT Police and parking office abandoned bike program which then goes to auction.

If you have a bike stored outside around the Tang or Westgate High rise or Westgate Low rise that now has an orange tag on it (see attachment) this bike has been deemed as abandoned.
You should remove the orange tag by 8/15/14 if you own the bike. All bikes after 8/16/14 will be considered abandoned, cut and removed and will be turned over to MIT Parking for their annual bike auction which will be announced later. Remember, it's always as good idea to register your bike with MIT police.

Thank you.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Michael

Subject: Abandoned Bike Tagging Westgate and Tang

Hi Larry

It's that time already to place orange tickets/tags on "abandoned bikes" around Tang and Westgate to later be cut and removed for the auction held in September.

Could you please have them delivered to me or I can come to the office and pick them up.

I can start tagging them now around W84 and W85 anticipating the residents will remove the tags or take their bikes with them as their lease will expire in mid-August.

Thanks in advance.
