Subject: xfinity IPTV application update

On Thursday, July 18th, Comcast and IS&T have released an update to the xfinity IPTV client.  The new client uses your kerberos username and password for authentication instead of personal certificates. This should ease connectivity problems associated with MIT Certificates.   Most users will be prompted to upgrade but if you have an older version of Silverlight or the xfinity client you may need to manually uninstall and reinstall the application.  Information for uninstalling and reinstalling the client can be found at: http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/x/DIA1B

If you are not prompted to upgrade, please try quitting the application, then restarting the xfinity client.  This will force an upgrade.
