[scripts-announce] 7/25/05 Script Server Outage

The script service was not working properly from about 1:10 pm to 3:00 pm
today because of an error introduced when upgrading some software on the
server.  We try to detect such errors automatically so that we can correct
them immediately, but this problem was overlooked until some script
service users notified us of the problem.  I will work on improving our
server-monitoring software so that we can hopefully avoid these kinds of
outages in the future.
