You're invited to meet the new class of Knight Science Journalism Fellows
at a reception Wednesday, Sept. 20, 4 to 6 pm at the Faculty Club.
It's an extraordinary group of 12 accomplished journalists from Brazil,
China, Germany, Japan, Kenya and the U.S. (See list below.) This is the
largest group of Knight Fellows in 14 years. Together they reach the
greatest number of readers and listeners ever represented by a class of
Knights.
Welcoming remarks from associate deans Claude Canizares and Philip Khoury.
Clark Boyd, technology reporter for "The World," a daily radio news program
co-produced by BBC and WGBH.
Herton Escobar, science and environment reporter with O Estado de S. Paulo,
Brazil's most influential newspaper.
Richard Friebe, writer and editor at the science desk of Frankfurter
Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, the Sunday edition of one of Germany's most
influential dailies.
Lila Guterman, science writer for The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Elizabeth Howton, science and health editor of the San Jose Mercury News.
Jeanne Lenzer, freelance investigative medical reporter.
Lu Yi, senior editor and science reporter for Sanlian Life Weekly, China's
largest newsweekly.
Wycliffe Muga, environmental conservation writer for the Daily Nation,
Kenya's largest newspaper.
Stephanie Nano, supervising editor of the Associated Press.
Sora Song, science reporter for Time magazine.
Tetsura Yamada, science reporter for Yomiuri Shimbun, the world's largest
circulation daily newspaper.
Zheng Yu, science and technology editor for Xinhua, China's most
