Error in Send Mail Step

Dear Experts,

I am facing a strange issue with my workflows in Quality system only.
Whenever workflow is trying to execute the send mail step it is ending up
with error WL821 - "Object xxxxxxxxx method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION cannot be
executed".

I have done the following checks, prior to writing in this forum, to ensure
that things are in place:

   - All the user ids in the AddressStrings multiline conatiner are having
   'US' before them and also all of them are active and unlocked in Quality
   system.
   - Workflow background user 'WF-BATCH' is having full authorization in
   Quality system.
   - Tried sending manual test mails from Business Workplace in Quality
   system and no problem or error is there, which indicates that SCOT
   configuration is also in place.

Please can you help me in letting me know what can be the cause of such
strange behavior of Quality system.
