Extended Notifications for SAP Business Workflow working with SSO (Single Sign On)

Hi Kevin,

I haven't used that field, but I think it is referring to the system id entry in the SAP Logon-Pad, not a username. Actually I think in the Properties of the entry in the Logon Pad it is labeled "Description". (Or maybe it is actually the System ID field, but why would that be different for different users?)

For example, if one user has the system named "ERP" and another has "SAP" (for the same actual system destination) then this won't work. So you would need to assign a name to the system and make sure that all users have that entry in the Logon Pad.

I think that's how it works anyway ... hope this helps.

Margaret

Subject: Extended Notifications for SAP Business Workflow working with SSO (Single Sign On)

We have SSO enabled as well as workflow notifications using Extended Notifications. We have attachments to our email notifications that currently launch the executable item in SAP GUI. This launching asks the user to sign in and doesn't use SSO. We found the setting below...

In transaction SWNCONFIG under general settings the help says the following:
Parameter: SAPLOGON_ID: Generic ID that is required for Single Sign-On.
Ensure that all users who are to receive notifications use this ID in the SAP Logon. If the ID specified here is not identical to the ID in a user's SAP Logon, then the user must log on to the system separately to display or execute a work item.
Format: <System name>[<Application group name>] Example: ABC[SSO]

If we set this logon_id to a generic user called EMAILUSER who is the user that is registered as the actual agent if we click on the link in the extended notification email? I will try this out shortly but wanted to know if anyone else has been down this path before and can share their experience?

Thank you
Kevin
