Hi Julius.

Activating the workflow is not enough as far as I know in most cases. This is the picture right know: the workflow is active as a receptor, it awaits an event. But the decision that the event should or not be fired is not influenced by how many listeners are available. This decision is usually influenced by customizing. Somewhere in the code, especially in the area most likely to be responsible with the event firing (e.g. the save part for CREATED event) some customizing value is probably checked and found initial. So there are a couple of ways to proceed:

-        you can search the probable area in SPRO to find that customizing and enable it

-        you can search the code in the area that should contain the event firing for the FM SWE_EVENT_CREATE and see what's preventing it from being called. It should be an IF based on some value loaded from a customizing table. That's the table you should be modifying.
If you can provide some more details about the specifics of your problem, maybe I can be more precise.

Hi guys,
I need some help.I have an old workflow that was inactive for 3 years and now the functional guys want use it. I have activated the workflow  and refreshed the buffer using T/code SWU_OBUF.
T he workflow does not get triggered and there are no events  when running swel.

Need advice on what to check next.

I meant how to get the leading object of a WF Item in a function module that can be later used in the section "Adaption of work item preview in Business Workplace"  of the "Work Item Display" Tab page in the Workflow Builder, as shown in the screenshot

Hi Alexander,

If i have understood your requirement correctly, then I would suggest the following solution :

To get the leading object attributes in workitem preview in Business Workplace, you just copy the standard task if you were using so or create your custom task and create the containers in this task with the same type as that for leading object attributes.

Now, change the description of the task and use the task containers in its description wherever you want to display the leading object attributes.

Now, in the binding of workflow to task, map the leading object attributes with the task containers.

Trigger your workflow so that you get the values in leading object and then you will get the attributes in workitem preview in your business workplace.
