Automated process to Move SAP Work Items from Person A to

Hi John,

If you are using rules to determine the agent, if the correct customising has been done in the "master data" meaning if you create the same business object and raise the same event now, the new agent will be determined.
Then you can use transaction SWI1_RULE on the concerned workitem and the new agent will be responsible

Best regards
Stephane

Rick,

Thanks for the information. I do not know if SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM can perform mass forwarding of work items from "A" to "B". If not this could be an opportunity to develop of process similar to SWWL performing mass deletes except this perform mass moves of work items.

Thanks again for the tip. I'll explore SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM further.

Hello,

You could automate the forwarding with an ABAP report that calls SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM.
If the workitem was sent to A's position (and not the user A) then you could consider putting B in A's position temporarily.

What we have done in the past is to set up person "B" as a substitute of person "A". If there aren't too many documents in person "A's" inbox, then SWI5 would work. But, if there are a lot, you would not want to use SWI5 to move them.

Subject: Automated process to Move SAP Work Items from Person A to Person B

Hello Fellow WUG'ers,

Please excuse me I've been away from SAP WF for four years. My company recently had a "reduction in workforce". There are many SAP Work Items that need to be moved from Person "A" to Person "B".

Four years ago, the process was to contact the manager of person "A" to see you will be replacing Person "A". When that is determined use SAP transaction SWI5 to move the work items from Person "A"s SAP inbox to Person "B"s inbox.

Is this still the standard process? I have superiors' wanting to know if this process has been or can be automated?

As always, any assistance or guidance regarding this situation would be greatly appreciated.
