Attachments archived too?

Thanks for the response, Mike. We're on ECC 6, SAP_BASIS 7.1.

I'm doing runs of the verification workflow in SWU3 in the Test system
and attaching SAPOffice files
to the user decision workitem that appears in my inbox. After
completing the workflow I archive it.

The archive file size when I attached a small .txt file: 0.042 MB
The archive file size when I attached a slightly bigger .docx file: 0.025MB
The archive file size when I attached a 1395KB .pdf file: 1.565 MB
Intriguing.

In each case I archived the workflow instance and "deleted" it (in
archiving terminology).
I'm still able to access the attachments when I retrieve each workflow
instance from the archive.

I haven't been able to figure out yet where SAP stores attachments to
workflows so I don't know if they are being deleted along with the
workflow.
Anybody know?

I'll also try asking in the new SDN Archiving forum.
