Adding object to 'object and attachments

The workflow is triggered by the activation of building. After various workflow steps in finding particular SAP user ID's, I have a standard task which creates a workitem to create a asset. (transaction AS01). Everything is fine to this point. The text message advising the building number is displayed with no problem on text side of the workitem as displayed in the inbox (This is derived by using variables in the standard task decription)..no problem to this point.......however the user wants the same variables displayed on the workitem under 'objects and attachments'.......the user wants to click on the building variable and display the building under 'objects and attachments'....issue is how do you get that variable into 'objects and attachments' (the workitem displays nothing under 'objects and attachments' at the moment)
