Checking SAPWUG scope - BPM too?

Hi Andy,

Sorry to be so late in replying, but speaking for myself, I would certainly
welcome BPM topics on this forum.
It's just something that I haven't had the chance to adopt yet J

Feel free to post - if nobody knows, you won't get an answer, but it may
also start the BPM juices flowing.

Of course, SCN could be the right place to go as well.

Thanks Jocelyn

I can see a few courses in the UK - some of them being online tuition. I'll
see if I can successfully justify such training with the bean-counters.

Based on your response and the lack of uptake by others, I take it that the
general answer to my question is a 'No', then. SAPWUG is for pure SAP
Workflow only; use the SDN forums for BPM.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

There is technical training available try your local SAP education online
catalogue

e.g. for Australia we run

TZBPM

Business Process Management on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.2
<http://www1.sap.com/australia/services/education/globaltabbedcourse.epx?con
text=%5b%5b%7cTZBPM%7c%7c%7c094%7cAU%7c%5d%5d%7c>

And

BPM140

Model to Execution (SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management
<http://www1.sap.com/australia/services/education/globaltabbedcourse.epx?con
text=%5b%5b%7cBPM140%7c%7c%7c084%7cAU%7c%5d%5d%7c>

There are forums on SDN where BPM is being discussed.

Just watch out that you are on a technical NetWeaver forum where we talk
about BPM as a process execution environment and not in the business expert
forums which talk about BPM as a methodology and management discipline.
They are related. i.e. the methodology/mgt leads to process models which in
turn should lead to executable processes. But of course not every business
process requires a system implementation .

Regards,

Jocelyn

Hi guys

In June/July time, there was a flurry of interest in some of the details of
SAP BPM, though the discussions were more around the differences between SAP
WF and NW BPM. There was also a query regarding technical training, which
drew a blank.

Since then, there has been little.

Given the absence of technical training courses, I would have expected more
questions along the lines of "How do I.?" as those of us playing with BPM
start to understand the benefits & limitations by 'playing'.

So, as I'm not seeing these questions on SAPWUG, is there an alternative
forum that they should be/are being raised to?

(. if this is the place, I may have the odd question pending J )

Thanks,
