Display user ID instead of WF-BATCH

We have the same question. I found a solution to this on SDN, although I have not yet implemented it, it seems as though it should work:

Subject: Display user ID instead of WF-BATCH

Dear colleagues'
We are running SAP workflow for approval of POs', vendor and customer master records. When we look at standard SAP reports' of change documents, such as XK04 (vendor account changes) of those cases WF-BATCH is the user who approves or rejects workflow item.
Is there any way to display SAP user ID who actually performed / run workflow item instead of WF-BATCH. Although I have searched through SDN and found that WF-BATCH is the user that finishes workflow process in background.
