Workflow Approval from Outlook - Duet or other alternatives?

Hello friends,

The client is on ECC 6.0 system at SP15 (ABA & Basis)and is exploring 
the option to approve directly from Outlook without launching an SAP 
session. Duet obviously requires further hardware. I am also aware of 
the Desktop Workplace solution from one of the forum members.

Would like to know if any of you out there used any other approaches to 
approve directly from Outlook  or other mail clients  and your experiences.
