And an excellent presentation it is, too.

In my organization, we have HR turned on, and our HR department is responsible for creating and maintaining the data. Workflow people are given special privileges - as we need to be able to walk up and down the org structure to resolve agents. In the long run though, it's their bailiwick.

Ken,

If the HR Module is not used as in our case, the Workflow Organizational Plan is created and maintained in PPOCW. I recently did a presentation at the 2009 ASUG Conference in Orlando, FL called "SAP Business Workflow: A Beginner's Guide to Drive Efficiency and Productivity." In this presentation which can be found on the ASUG Website, I take the reader through the required steps in creating a basic organizational plan (Company, Departments, Positions and Jobs). I also discuss creating a basic workflow not to mention configuring the workflow system if it has never been used. Hope this was helpful.

Greetings Workflow gurus,

I have been asked by my client to set up an Organizational structure with a company, departments and jobs to be associated with the workflow process. Does anybody have a solid guide on how to set this up. Is this a workflow activity or is it a HR function?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Ken Gast
