Lock Document while Workflow Processing

Hi ,

Not sure if this would help you. I had a similar requirement for FI Parked document Workflow approval Process. I had to restrict few of the fields against updates ( Like changing posting date ,Doc type, Line items) .
I put in validations for few . Also , I used 2217E BTE to check against document changes.

Hi All

I have a requirement to lock the Document while the Workflow related to it is in Process. How can I accomplish this. I cannot use a background task that locks the object as this gets unlocked as soon as the task gets executed. How can I accomplish thi susing Workflow. I had tried to use the Locking method in AMODAL way in dialog task but it works but it gets locked only when the approver executes the workitem which means it does not get locked when the workflow has started. Can anyone provide a good solution for this.
