UWL and AFTER methods

I have an AFTER method (background method) in a dialogue step that
doesn't want to execute when triggered from UWL.  Is this normal
behavior?  The AFTER method works fine when executed from the SAPGUI /
SBWP.  We're on Netweaver 7.0, ECC6.
