Vijay, We are using workflows for vendor invoice approval FV60...not sure FV50..
If SAP is not triggering the event, then try some user exit/Badi and create the event your self..for your workflows...

thanks,
Sharath

Hi Sharath,

Thanks for your reply. For some reason nothing shows us in SWEL report. I have switched on the event tracing in SWELS but still we don’t see any entry in SWEL. We have few workflows working fine with other events, but strangely SWEL does not show any list of events. Anyways I am not worried about the events not showing in SWEL as long as the workflow is working fine.

My workflow runs perfectly when FIPP.CREATED event is raised. When the user parks the document in FV50. This workflow then sends a work item to the approver. If the approver does not wish to approve he can reject the parked document. This will send a notification to the original initiator asking for the amendments. Once the amendments are done the user will save the document as completed and I was expecting that this would trigger the same workflow for re-approval. However when save as completed is done the event is not raised and hence no workflow is triggered.

I am trying to figure out when the event is raised. I did some search on the forums and looks like many people have faced similar issue. However I could not find a proper solution. Any idea what might be the missing link?

Kind Regards,
VJ

Vijayendra, not sure if this is a SAP release issue..But I can see the event triggered on 'Save as Completed' button on parked document(but we are on R/3 4.7) ..see the event log in transaction SWEL..

Subject: How to trigger FIPP.COMPLETED event?
Hi guys,

I would like to know when does SAP trigger the event COMPLETED of BO FIPP?

We have configured the parked document workflow. So when the user cerates a parked document the event FIPP.CREATED is raised and the workflow is triggered. The workflow is sent to the approver to release the parked document and subsequently to post it. If the approver rejects the workflow( does not approve) the initiator has to make the required amendments and save the parked document with the option “Save – As – Completed”.

I would have expected that once the user selects “save-As-Completed” the system would trigger FIPP.COMPLETED event however the system does not trigger the event any idea why this is happening?

The flag “ Doc. Completed” is set once the user clicks on “Save-AS-Completed” but still the system does not trigger the FIPP.COMPLETED workflow. Can anyone guide me when does SAP trigger FIPP.COMPLETED event?

We are working on R/3 release 4.6C version.

Thanks in anticipation.

Kind Regards,
VJ
