Hi Shalini,
Firstly make absolutely sure you have turned on the UWL Delta Pull -
this makes a significant difference to performance.

Secondly we are aware of the problem and are consideringa solution but I
can't give you any details at all at this stage. Please understand that
this is NOT a simple issue as potentially improving the UWL refresh can
negatively affect the performance of multiple systems.

Please note that if the UWL Admin clears out your Delta Pull parameters
then you have NOT set up the delta pull correctly - make sure you have
read all the relevant SAP Notes and there is also a step-by-step guide
in Darren Hague's book on the Universal Worklist.

I would also recommend doing some simple UWL XML Configuration to make
the UWL Refresh option more visilbe to users - i.e. change it to a
button or link just above the UWL work item list.

Regards,
Jocelyn

Subject: [LIKELY JUNK]Re: UWL/Workflow Performance Recommendations?

Hello Jocelyn
We have recently upgrade to from 4.6c to ECC 6.00, EP 7.0 on NW7.0.
One issue that stood out was "Inbox Refresh". Since the upgrade users
have to refresh their UWL every so often to view any new workitems as
well as to remove any completed workitems.

This has definitely been an issue for our user community, I am told that
an automatic refresh takes place every 15mins and reducing this could
cause peformance issues.

	Hi Folks,

Ok I know of some performance issues to watch out for but to be
thorough I'd really appreciate it if the WUG-gers would please share any
specific UWL or Workflow performance recommendations you have come
across.

I'm talking about recommendations for relatively recent systems
here - EP 7.0 portal against ECC 5.0 or higher, or other NW7.0 systems.

If you would be kind enough to send them through I'm happy to
collate them together for the group, and also share them with Ginger
Gatling re future plans for UWL/workflow development.

Really appreciate your assistance with this.

	Kind regards,
	Jocelyn
