Start Workflow through Portal

Dear Acer,

It depends how you plan to start your workflow. If you plan to use SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW you can pass the data to the workflow container.
If you plan to use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT you can pass the data to the event container and then your workflow container.
However you need to consider where will the data be stored eventually: Z-table, infotype 9xxx?

In this case I'd advice to create ZBAPIxxx to store data and just use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT with the object key (=employee number or key of your z-table).

BTW, if it's all pure non-standard process and does not involve objects, I'd strongly advice create your object class based.

Good luck.

Dear Experts,

I have to create an iView for collecting overtimes for any employee in my Portal.

After saving I have to pass the information to an workflow which I have to develop before.

My question is: How can I pass the information to my new Workflow and vice versa. The problems relates to human resources.

I thank you in advance for your help!

With kind regards

G?kselin Acar (German)
