VJ,

This is not the goal of SWFVISU - you wish to lanuch WinGui and not WebDynpro application.
Try looking at help.sap.com under XML configuration action type for decision task.
You need to change <action> segment to launch WinGui.

see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7a/df014b037141ca9afc6433ed42b519/content.htm.

Good luck.

Hi Shai,

Thanks for sharing the information. I am exploring the sap.ehelp.com for
task type customization. But I am new to this; could you give some
pointers on what I need to set in SWFVISU?

VJ

VJ,

Assuming you're using SP19, there's a new feature BWWF_WI_DECI.

If you wish to launch SAP GUI instead you'll need to customize the
action of you task.

This business add-in wf_substitute is being implemented to create a
message as shown in the example class CL_EXM_IM_WF_SUBSTITUTE..  I have
set a breakpoint in the code and it is being executed.  The message is
passed back to the calling program SAP_WAPI_SUBSTITUTE_MAINTAIN but it
is never displayed in the UWL?  Any thoughts on why?

  if substitute = 'USE002290'.
*    set the return code
    return_code = '5'.
*  set the error message
    ls_msg-msgid = 'SWL'.
    ls_msg-msgty = 'I'.
    ls_msg-msgno = 156..
    append ls_msg to msg.
  endif.

Thank you

Tom

Hi Shai,

Yes we are using EP7 and are on the latest patch. Any idea if there is
any setting that needs to be enabled to view the SAP screen for decision
box on the UWL?

VJ,

It is very important to know if you're using EP6 or EP7 (I assume you
use EP7) and most of all the service pack and patch level.

Hi Guys,

Greetings,

Have an issue with our workflow. We have created a simple workflow which
has a decision step. This workflow works fine in SAP inbox . No issues
at all.? However when the workitem is executed from the UWL we don't see
the decision box as we see in SAP inbox. The workitem executed from UWL
only has two options to APPROVE AND REJECT and it is shown in the std
UWL screen format instead of showing the SAP screen as seen in the SAP
inbox.

Is there any setting in the UWL which needs to be done to enable the
decision step to be shown as we would see it in the SAPInbox.

We are on ECC 6.0. Any pointers will be of great help.

Kind Regards,

VJ

Hi Shai,

Thanks for writing back.

The task object type is DECISION and method is PROCESS.

I am not clear with your second question. I am not much aware of the
Portal system as the portal stuff is handled by a different person. If
you need any specific info I can try to get the same.
