PO Approval workflow hangs in status In Process[Scanned]

Hi Laurain,

Thanks for your email. Yes I checked both ST22 and SM58 and there are no
errors and no items waiting in TRFC. 

Just to be more specific on my issue. I am not sure if it's a hanging
issue or some other issue. The std PO workflow WS20000075 has a release
step and a notification step. When the agent goes to his in SAP inbox
and executes the workitem, the workitem gets executed successfully and
the user is taken to ME29 screen where he or she can release the PO and
save the PO. Once the PO is changed the user comes back to the SAP
Inbox. The workitem still remains in the inbox. Ideally the work item
must move out from the inbox and go into the "workflows executed by me"
folder but it remains in the inbox and the status shows as In Process. 

Since this step is in Process the workflow does not proceed further.

Please check transaction ST22 to see if you are getting any shortdumps.
Also check cehck tRFC using trnasaction SM58

Hi Guys,

We have activated the std PO approval workflow WS20000075 in our ECC 6.0
sap system.

When a new PO is raised the workflow gets triggered successfully without
any issues. The work item is sent to the correct agent and the agent is
able to execute the work item and approve the PO. After this step the PO
hangs in status In Process. Any idea why this is happening? There is no
error displayed anywhere.

We have an approval notification step after the above step and the
workflow
does not proceed ahead. It just stops after the PO is approved. Any idea
what is causing the problem and how to fix the same?
