PO Approval workflow hangs in status In Process

Hi Guys,

 

We have activated the std PO approval workflow WS20000075 in our ECC 6.0
sap system.

 

When a new PO is raised the workflow gets triggered successfully without
any issues. The work item is sent to the correct agent and the agent is
able to execute the work item and approve the PO. After this step the PO
hangs in status In Process. Any idea why this is happening? There is no
error displayed anywhere. 

 

We have an approval notification step after the above step and the
workflow does not proceed ahead. It just stops after the PO is approved.
Any idea what is causing the problem and how to fix the same?
