Can you not call the enhancement via a method and instantiate the class
and pass that to the work item like a BOR attachment.

Subject: Work item to call an enhancement

Hi everyone,

I have a requirement for a work item. It needs to have a link to a
couple of BOR objects (that's fine - we can just bind them in) and also
a link to a custom enhancement. The users may not need to use all of
these links, but they have to have the option should they need to. To
call the enhancement we could use the method on the work item task but
the problem is that if we did it this way then the enhancement would be
called any time the user executes the work item, and many users seem to
execute work items without realising it by double clicking to display
them (rather than selecting the work item from the list and clicking
display).

Is there an easy way around this? We could make the work item a decision
task where if the user wants to call the enhancement they select that
option and the workflow calls the enhancement in the subsequent step.
The problem with that is if the user clicks to execute the enhancement
and then wants to go back to view the objects that we're binding in. It
just all seems to get a bit messy.

Hope I'm missing something obvious!
Thanks,
Gavin
