ECC Upgrade - WF Transport Issues?

Sue,

Sorry. I'm new to this forum and didn't know the rules. We are on
4.6C. Several object types are used within the workflow (DECISION,
ZBUS2081, ZBUS2012)

Scenario: The business is implementing a process where they scan their
invoices outside of SAP using ScanToPDF and send data from those
invoices (along with the URL link to the PDF file from the invoice
database system) into SAP through a RFC. The user also needs the
ability to view that invoice document, which we were hoping to provide
through the URL link because management does not want to store all of
those PDF files within SAP. The workflow will allow them to process
those invoices within SAP and also route when needed. We want the RFC
to initiate the workflow (using FUNCTION "SWW_WI_START") and send a
work item to the appropriate agent's workflow folder within SAP Business
Workplace, which it does. Our issue arises when the RFC attempts to
include the URL as an attachment. (The URL is initially saved in
SOFM.) I believe the issue has to do with the URL attachment and SAP
not allowing you to create an attachment within another user's Inbox.
Perhaps we are attempting to include the URL incorrectly. Any
suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim,

Folks generally need to know release, scenario, etc in order to help
more...

But from just perusing your message, it doesn't seem like you have
authorization to create a document in someone else's SAPOffice folders
(which is the way it should be).
Are you sure you are creating a workitem and not a message? What
business object method are you using?

Good luck!
Sue

PS: An appropriate subject line in the email is also a good idea ;)

To all,

Okay, I'm new to SAP workflow, so be patience with me. I have
created a workflow that is initiated from a RFC. This RFC takes an
attachment and adds it to the workflow item then determines the correct
agent to send the work item to based on criteria that is passed within
the RFC. When I run this RFC under my user logon and attempt to create
the workflow item for another user, I get the error message
"FOLDER_NO_AUTHORIZATION". It doesn't appear to be an authorization
from a role. Any help would be appreciated.

Kim
