Exception handling in Work flow defination

Hi all,

 

We have developed a WF for Purchase requisition and WF is working fine.
Now we are trying to maintain exception handling when ever errors
occurred during the WF execution.

We are collecting Approvers from 'ZTABLES' based on some conditions. If
agent  list is empty, we have to raise a exception and the same to be
informed to wf work flow administrator. 

Can any body give step by step approach on the same.
