Hello Jocelyn,

i have a question regarding the Object Visualization. I have created an object visualization with transaction swfvisu and re-registered the system. Now when i check the updated uwl.webflow<.System>.xml file i do not see any kind of entries regarding to the object visualization settings i have performed.
So my question is, how does the UWL know how to handle an object if nothing is stored in the xml config files?

thx and best regards,
Markus

Sophie,

There's nothing to do in the XML file.... it's done in the backend ECC 6.0 system which your UWL is connected to.
If you are ECC 6.0 (SP 8 I believe) then you simply create an Object Visualization entry in transaction SWFVISU.
Specify your object category, object type, leave the method name empty (i.e. blank) and set visualization type to NONE.
Then just re-register the system in the UWL admin.

If your backend system is on an earlier release you are out of luck.

Subject: How to Hide Object-Links from attachments in UWL

Hi all,

In the UWL, the user sees an Attachment section with a hotlink (object-display) and when selected, the BO, default method is executed. I would like to have the ability to hide certain BO's from being displayed in this attachment list as we don't want users having the ability to display this information

I have noticed this question has been asked a few times but not really answered in full.

Could someone please advise me on how to update the XML file to hide certain BO's (Object-links) from being displayed within a decision task under the Attachments list.

Thanks in advance,
Sophie
