Hi Matt,
It's much the same under EP6 although you won't have access to some
features such as add memo and attachment manager, secondary methods as
"Required Reading" attachments, SWFVISU settings to update the UWL
config on re-register, optimized delta pull etc.

You should find a similarly named option under sys admin > sys config in
the EP6 portal - It was definitely in much the same place in EP6. If
not check that you have the appropriate role for the uwl administrator -
suggest you just search for a role with "uwl" in the name.

There's no compatibility issue with the releases you have listed.

Basic registration of your R/3 4.7 to the UWL is much the same as in EP7
- i.e. you need a System Alias defined in the system landscape for your
R/3 4.7 system before you can register it in the UWL admin.

Regards,
Jocelyn

Subject: [LIKELY JUNK]UWL and R/3 4.7

Hello Gurus,
Im a newbie in UWL and SAP Netweaver portal. I did a lot of reading
with the UWL configuration and even bought the book UWL with Sap
NetWeaver Portal by Darren Hague. Now, im trying to configure the UWL in
the Portal but i could not find the option Universal Worklist & Workflow
under Sys Admin->System Configuration. We are using EP 6 running Web AS
6.4 and with R/3 4.7 backend for the. I believed most of the book
configuration is under EP 7 or 2004s. I just want to know on what are
the minimum requirements to integrate the business workflow to the UWL
and what would be needed to run it under Netweaver 2004? Is there
compability issue especially our R/3 is only 4.7?
Thanks is advance.

-matt
