[LIKELY JUNK]Re: Returning to UWL inbox, after "Advance with Dialog "

Shai,
The Close Window message *** IS *** the standard solution.

Generally once the user finishes performing the SAP GUI transaction they
should close the launched window.
As workflows should in general listen for events telling them that
updates have occurred there is no need for the user to back out of a
transaction to reach the "Close Window" screen.
So the "Close Window" is just a catcher in case this situation occurs
e.g. where you are calling transactions synchronously in display mode.

Of course if you are calling a web application such as ABAP WebDynpro
you are not affected.

I also generally turn off the "Display Details in SAPGUI" feature (in
the You can Also menu) as this is unnecessary, confusing and potentially
gives the user too much access to unwanted features such as changing
deadline dates/times.
Regards,
Jocelyn

Joe,

If I got you right then what you actually mean is to automatically close
SAP session with the "Close Window" message.
Well, the answer is YES, though I had it usingenhancement implementation
in program of transaction SWK1. Maybe there's standard solution but I
have yet discovered one.

If you need further definition just let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Shai.

I guess I was not clear on my initial question. I understand the
behavior that Advance with Dialog has nothing to with how it returns to
the UWL, but rather the SAP GUI is what causes the "Close Window" to
appear.

The question is: Can I automatically return to UWL inbox after I
execute
a workitem that has the SAP GUI settings?

Thanks.
