Dan,
Check again...
SWNCONFIG and SWN_SELSEN are both ABAP not Java.... - ALL components of
these programs are ABAP.
If you are not using the UWL but using the SAP Inbox that is also
possible - it just changes what you assign as link types in the
Subscription paramters.
SWNADMIN may possibly use Java but this is not necessary as all features
are in SWNCONFIG
UWL is part of Portal and is Java but that's got nothing to do with
running Extended Notifications.
Regards,
Jocelyn

Jocelyn,
Sometimes using RSWUWFML2 is the only option. SWNCONFIG can only be
used if ther is a JAVA Stack installed. I've been at two customers who
are in ECC 6.0 but do not have a JAVA stack installed, so the only
viable option was using RSWUWFML2.
Just my 2 cents . . .

Yes well... would everyone PLEASE stop talking about using
RSWUWFML2 in NetWeaver 7.0 systems?!..
SWNCONFIG/SWN_SELSEN give you considerably more flexibility, far
better features and .... completely supersedes RSWUWFML2 since 6.40.
As to finding email addresses... Cristiana is correct - both
sender and receiver must have an email address.
Regards,
Jocelyn

Hi Raja,
in order to be able to send the email, the User ID that is
running the job must have an email address in their master record (Tcode
SU01). Please check if the user id running the job in the background has
an email address in theit master record (tcode SU01).
Cheers,
Cristiana

Raja,
If you have anything in the fields below, this will cause the
work items to be sent more than once. Having these fields populated
does not mark them as being already sent.

Raja,
There is a box to check on the selection screen - New Work items only -
this will send the work item only one time.

Hello,
With regards to there being a difference in running RSWUWFML2 in
background versus manually, it probably has to do with which user
you're running it as in both cases, and the difference in their
authorizations.
