Hi All,I was able to figure out the probelem...
Actually the workflow is working fine..but I cound't see the work item in SWI1 with my selection parameters...in selection screen I need to enter from & to values for 'creation date' select option..I was entering only 'from' value in select option(creation date) and task id..any way no workflow issue..

but the real issue is ..these work items are not sent to MSS UWL..
our Portal consultant saying he task is configured(TS20000460)..

Do I need to do/check any thing in R/3 to make sure..

Here is the scenario..
User X enters time for Y in R/3(using CAT2)
Z is manager/supervisor of  Y 

Do 'Y' need to be a Portal user inorder to get his time approved from MSS..(I dont think)

any support/clue is appreciated..

Hsrshitha, I am not getting Approval work item in manager's inbox( r/3 and portal)...

I fallowed your previous reply and configured....
1.Configured the task TS20000460 in data entry profile
2.Made the task as general task.
3.Maintained Org chart for user 'B is supervisor of A.

time sheet entry for A is not seding an approval item to B..

I am missing any thing...I tried to simulate the rule 00000157..am not sure what parameters I should provide

Person resp.
Object type

Any help is appreciated..

I am getting workitems in R/3 inbox but not in MSS portal inbox ..do I need
to do any portal config to get these items in MSS...

Hi Sharat,

You are using TS20000459 which is approval by administrator and are
checking the inbox of the manager i suppose.
if you are using this task check the administrators inbox instead of
managers inbox.

if you want the task to appear in managers inbox then use TS20000460.

You check points shld be:

1: for the person to whom the leave is created, the manager for approval
should be assigned in OM(org management in HR module: tcode PPOM_OLD OR
PP02.)
2. the task should be assigned to a right data entry profile assigned to
that employee.
3.In the data entry profile flag automatic recipient and workflow approval
else the workflow will not start.

Hi,

Can any one share some knowledge how to configure MSS inbox for CATS time
approval work items..

I am using TS20000459 for CATS approvals..and currently on ECC6.

the work items are not showing up in MSS inbox
