Designing workitem description

Hello all,
 
Currently I'm delivering workitems as e-mails. Most of the times simple text is just enough however sometimes the text is quite long and even contains multiline elements. In such cases, I'd be happy to have tools for designing the e-mail content, such as: tabs, tables, adding pictures, etc.
 
Please recall:
	* It should appear in e-mail body and not as attachments.
	* Standard e-mail and not some kind of forms.
I'd be happy to read about your experience with the issue.
