UWL SAPTransactionLauncher language conversion?

Hi,

Our landscape is SAP ERP 6.0 (HCM, English and Swedish supported), SAP
R/3 4.7 (Finance, English only supported) and NetWeaver Portal 7.0
running UWL. The two source systems are feeding UWL with multiple
tasks which are then visualized by the UWL as SAP GUI for Windows and
various web app technologies.

The problem we are facing is languages. If a user whose user ID is set
to Swedish tries to run a financial task visualized with wingui, the
single sign on to the financial system does not work because Swedish
is not supported in the finance system. (Single sign on and task
execution for a HCM-based task works ok since the HCM system supports
Swedish.) What happens in practice is that the logon stops in the
logon screen and the system raises an error for Swedish not being
supported.

What we have tried so far is the following:
1. Force logon in English with UWL config
- tried to add dynamic parameter sap-language=EN to the UWL item type
config for the appropriate tasks. No effect. Didn't work.

2. Set UWL SAPTransactionLauncher iView language property to English
- works, but then all wingui based tasks are forced to English.
Including some HCM tasks, which should be run in Swedish.

I've made a suggestion to go with option two but I would like to have
a second opinion if anyone has fought with the same problem. Anyone?
