Workflow Document from template

Hi

Has any body used this particular task in a workflow. if so I am looking 
for prime examples of a business process where this would be usable. Could 
an approve/reject and rejection reason be integrated into this template? I 
am looking at alternatives of passing a DMS Doc Info record round for 
approval which would mean senior managers having to edit a Doc Info record 
status to indicate approval, these people would typically not want to go 
into R3 and edit a SAP object rather just have an approve / reject button 
on some kind of document.
