Extended Notifications for SAP Business Workflow

Rick, There's nothing wrong with those settings. Most likely cause of
error when creating notifications I've found is problems with finding
email addresses or problems with the system's email setup itself (check
txn SCOT/SOST). So check you can actually send an email from your
system, that your users and that your WF-BATCH user (and yourself when
you are testing) all have valid email addresses defined either in the
user master or in infotype 105/0010. Worst case it is possible to
debug your way through using SWN_SELSEN_TEST.

Jocelyn,

thanks for the tips. I still can't seem to get the alerts to deliver,
and get the same, cryptic "Error when creating message". Attached are
the screenshots for my subscription settings. Please advise if you see
anything else.

Thanks again.

Rick

Thanks for the information. I found the logs, but still don't get any
good error messages to troubleshoot what is wrong. The only error is
Error When Creating Message: "Message no. SWN032" Attached are the logs,
and screenshots of the settings in SWNCONFIG. Can anyone see anything
set incorrectly?

Rick

Subject: Extended Notifications for SAP Business Workflow

I'm attempting to set up Email Notifications for new workitems to
deliver to user's Outlook inboxes.

I configured the appropriate fields in SWNCONFIG (at least I believe I
did).

When I attempt to manually run report SWN_SELSEN I get the following
message:

Selection of Notifications

00000 notifications selected
00000 notifications deleted (logically)
00000 new notifications saved
00000 notifications saved

Sending Messages

00042 notifications selected
00000 messages sent
Unable to send 00000 notifications due to errors

I ran program SWN_SELSEN_TEST. I get errors "Error when creating
message" but no futher details appear.

Any ideas where to look?

Thanks
