Triggering the workflow

Shai, Thanks for your response

but I didnt find any event in event trace(SWEL)...so I am tring to use a 
BADI ...But I am unable to get a material number in the BADI 
implementation..

Can this be achieved with CHange documents or anyother event creation 
mechanisms...
