Suppress ending a

In WAS6.20 and forward you can set conditions for the completion of a dialog task.  This uses the standard condition editor so you will need to refer to some element that reflects the status that you consider "completed".  
 
Go to the Conditions tab of the task (to the right of Methods) and select Complete Work Item.  I have not used the other tab Complete Execution but you might check this out also in the documentation.
 
This solves a long-standing problem like you have in you workflow.  It replaces having to use a loop to return the work item to the agent if the condition is not satisfied.  This is the solution you will have to use if you are on an earlier release of R/3.

As soon as anybody processes a workitem using such a task he may end the workitem without taking any action but by using the standard navigation buttons "Back(green)", "Exit(yellow)" and "Cancel(red)". The task is interpreted as successfully completed. During my participation in the BIT601 SAP Education course I heard about an option to "suppress" this behavior. I would like the workitem with a task that uses a synchronous method to stay in any status that is not "completed" (think it would be "commited" or "ready"). Is there any sollution for this issue?
