Parameters in Outcomes don't get populated

Paul,

The code looks like this:

exit_return 1001 ls_return-message_v1 ls_return-message_v2
                            ls_return-message_v3 ls_return-message_v4.

Under "Exceptions", the error 1001 is coded with this text "Key &1 &2 locked by user &3".

When the workflow runs and gets on the path that leads to error 1001, I see "Key &1 &2 locked by user &3
" in the log, under "Results".  I tried to populate Ls_return-message_v1 (and 2.3.4) with what I wanted to see, but I still get the generic (unpopulated) &1, &2, &3.

Er, It's a bit hard to diagnose your problem if you don't specify how you
called EXIT_RETURN.

It should look something like this:
EXIT_RETURN 9001 'Error updating item status' SPACE SPACE SPACE

Hello,

I'm using EXIT_RETURN statement to raise an error.  I have the Exceptions
populated also and the Outcomes filled in with the actual message
(standard).

The Message looks like this "Key &1 &2 locked by user &3".

Workflow runs, finds the exception, raises the error, but it's not
populating the &1, &2, or &3 variables.  I am moving variables in the
positional parameters of EXIT_RETURN but it seems that they just get
ignored.

How do I pass variables to the & parameters in Outcomes?
