Deleting Workflow

Akshay,

In normal scenarios, a workflow when started goes out of initiator reach
and land in somebody else's inbox (approver or some other action
required.) Hence directly it cannot be done. However there are many
alternatives

1.	The first work item can be sent to initiator to confirm if
he/she wants to continue.

However if the initiator realizes at a later stage

2.	If the initiator has authorizations he can go to workflow log
and logically delete it.
3.	A fork can be created with a work item in initiator's inbox to
delete it as when required.
4.	A program can be created with WF instance No / Document No as a
parameter. The program will then terminate the workflow.

Choose what fit your requirement.

Thanks

Manish

Subject: Deleting Workflow

Hi All,

Needed opinion regarding the solution to following scenario:

workflow should be able to be deleted from Inbox (only by designer -
user, as they are starting the workflow. In case workflow has been
started by mistake they need to stop it again.)

Is this possible that creator can terminate the workflow if in situation
he comes to know that workfow has started by mistake?

Regds,

Akshay
