forwarding an deadline message

Hi Michael,

Firstly, when user "X" forwards a work item to user "ABC", user "X" will
still receive the deadline step because User "X" is still considered to be
the "determined Actual or Possible agent" of the work item (and stored in
the WF containers as such).
Forwarding a work item to user "ABC" does not automatically reset user "ABC"
to be the "determined Actual or Possible agent" and the Business Object
WORKINGWI only stores the person that forwarded the Work Item (ie. User
"X").

I only have 4.6C in front of me currently, and the answer is NO.
Unfortunately on 4.6C, the deadline and subsequent actions cannot be passed
onto user ABC by simply forwarding it to them. The containers are not
changed to reflect user ABC as the new agent from forwarding. (Someone
please correct me if this is available in later versions). However, if your
Workflow records the "ExecutedByUser" attribute, then when the forwardee
(user ABC) acts on the Work Item, then the details of user ABC is recorded
there. And if you use that attribute in subsequent steps, then user ABC is
recognised (but this all depends on how you have designed your Workflow).

If you have substitutes set up, then they will see the work item sitting in
the target inbox - including ones forwarded to that inbox.

Cheers,
Tom

Hello workflowers,
here an original request from our workflow end users:
SAP workflow : forwarded invoices /missed deadline.users are forwarding
the work items to another user.,
However the message of the missed deadline should also be forwarded.
The signal missed deadline will disappear ,when the user to whom the
invoice has been forwarded, but is it possible to have the "missed
deadline " also forwarded ?
After clarfying what the end user really meant, here the question:
If I forward a work item XYZ to user ABC , is a possible deadline work
item belonging to work item XYZ then also forwarded to user ABC?
... and additionally:
does a subsititute sees also my deadline work items? If not why not?

Regards, Michael
