Anil,
This is a bit confusing. The agent is assigned when the work item is
created based upon your role responsibilities or function module. Why
would you want to assign an agent after the work item has been created?
Do you want a user to select the next agent from a dynamic list? Please
supply more details of your specific need... The answers will vary
accordingly.
Cheers,
Sherie

Jake,
I'm a big fan of using security roles (where possible) for both possible
and responsible agent assignment.
Why? Because when a user changes to a new position, they can be working
for weeks before the Org Chart is updated (if at all!). In the meantime
they are on the phone to you, asking why they are not receiving their
workitems.
In contrast, there is a very tight coupling between a user's job and
their security roles. The user cannot start their (new) job without the
proper roles; and once these are assigned, they automatically start
getting the relevant workitems as well.
Of course, roles aren't much help when you need to need to find the
'Manager of' a given user.
cheers
Paul

Hello all I'm new to the WUG and looking forward to participating. I'm
beginning to develop workflows for my company and I'm curious what you
all recommend for agent determination. What are the pros and cons of
using rules vs organizational management or some other option. Our HR
department currently using org management, but it would have to be
tweaked. So rules?
revise HR org chart? make my own work org chart? something else? (We are
on SAP release 640) Thanks!

I know that you have solved your problem, but still I think there is something we have not been able to get hold of: why is me23n opened without the PO number when you test it in BO?
Just for your information: I copied your two lines of code in a method in a business object, and the test display the PO correctly.

Hi,
hope you have created a shortcut in your LogonPad with the t-code ME23n
else other option is to send PO number as parameter-id in your code where
you call your t-code.
If there is any other option which you find plz reply,
Thanks,
Aditya,

Hello Team,
I think the following question was raised many times or this is not related to this forum. I apologize for that.
Question:
We are on R3 46C with all PP/QM/SD/FI modules and now we are looking forward to implement HR.
I heard that Org.plans and other areas like sytsem copies will have issues in merging HR module on to R3 existing system. I am aware of implementing seperate mySAP ERP ECC6.0 MSS/ESS and communicate the data via ALE between R3/HR system.
Please help me if I decide to use one SAP systems including HR, during QA system copies we will have issues with scratching the HR data and also security needs to be very tightly maintained. Please advise us with pros. cons with any tools you which can be used to scratch the data.
what about org. plans and issues my doing this with workflow. please advise.
Thanks,
Steve Johnson
